Milan. A Dream. Tears of humility and honor.
Yes, I am a bit dramatic, but participating in this campaign had me at a place of feeling
BLESSED
Myself, along with 11 other bloggers from across the globe were tapped by plus size luxury powerhouse, Marina Rinaldi (sister to Max Mara brand), to participate in this campaign!
I shared with you in July this trip I went on, the photos and shoots I did and today, I am grateful and honored to share with you all of the images, not only MYSELF, but all of the bloggers invited to make its mark in fashion history.
NOT because I was involved, but yo. There has never been a campaign at this level, as impactful, as inspirational like this… I don’t think.
High fashion, high style, in the heart of MILAN? On the calendar for Milan Fashion Week?

The launch party had all types of international press and I was impressed. The press came out in support of the Marina Rinaldi brand, from China, Australia, Germany and QUITE a few others!
Vogue Italia, Marie Claire, Glamour, Elle, WWD, I mean, it was impressive. I do not think the US has EVER received this much support for plus size fashion-EVER.
Check out my Video interview with my trip to Marina Rinaldi!
Decked out in my Marina Rinaldi cocktail gown and leather jacket, the night was magical, the shoot was breathtaking, and the entire experience was indeed memorable…
I will never forget this moment and will forever remember this as a turning point for me and my blog.
Thank you Marina Rinaldi! #WomenAreBack!
so where do we buy marina rinaldi? they don’t seem to sell online?
They have two US stores (LA, and NY) , and they are working on an online store! Stay tuned!
well at least now i know i’m not insane. that’s always been the most frustrating thing about this brand. so many advertisments and no way to get it. congrats though.

Heheheh 🙂
Cocktails darling, cocktails!
HEy when they DO launch online please make sure they include size 28 and a SALE or affordable stuff; too
While I agree on sizing that doesn’t stop at 24, I think we all need to stop & redefine ‘affordable’.
Remember, for years Curvy Women have been forced to shop at discount or ‘trend’ driven stores because that’s all that had our sizes. We became accustomed to paying bargain prices … But we got what we paid for.
I don’t think I ever realized the extent until I bought my first Igigi dress & saw what I was missing in terms of fabric, cut, stitching. You can feel the difference & it was worth every penny.
I started saving for the good stuff. I’m worth it. I look for sales when I can, but if I don’t find ’em…oh well. I deserve nice clothes that’ll last. I just didn’t know they existed before!
I think as a group, we have a ways to travel to change our collective mindset. If we want great designer clothes just like everyone else, we have to be willing to pay for them. We’re not shopping at WallyWorld for everything anymore & I for one, am eternally grateful!
Thank you for your words Jacquie!
YES!!! All the yes!!!!
YEAH thank you !!!!
And I’m happy to find some more curvy girls to follow.
Right!!! 🙂
Congratulations Marie! I saw clips and photos a few weeks back over on Girl With Curves and was excited to see what all the hullabaloo was about. Love the campaign! #WomenAreBack! F* Yeah we are!
Thank youuuuu
Congratulations! The only thing I would have loved to see from a personal pride standpoint is a Canadian Blogger in the mix … Someone like Karyn Johnson from Killer Kurves comes to mind, although I’m sure there are more who could fit the bill.
…One day, we’ll own the marketplace (as we should), but this is a pretty awesome victory!
You know what? I dont think they have a store there… I think? Maybe this is why?
Makes a lot of sense!
