How Long Have You Been blogging? 4 years on and off
What or who inspired you to become a fashion blogger? What led you to it?
A lot of my inspiration came from seeing and following other plus-size bloggers who were killing the game at the time! But I yearned to see someone like myself (plus size AND dark-skinned) and at the time, there weren’t that many that I could look up to.
That, in turn, inspired me to become a fashion blogger.
I wanted other women to see themselves in me! It all started when I was trying out trends and outfits that worked for my body. Unbeknownst to me I was planting seeds of confidence in women around me.
Whether on the street or at church, they would compliment me on how well I dressed for my size, without looking older than I was, lol! I became the go-to plus-size stylist and they would come to me whenever they had fashion questions.
With the encouragement of my fiancé (who also is a big and tall blogger), the blog was born!
I wanted to share more of my style and empower other plus size women to discover their own.
Do you blog full-time, for fun, as a hobby? Share your evolution!
It started out for fun, but now it’s a part of my everyday life. It has become a part of my purpose.
What is your favorite asset? Your legs, arms, waist? How do you play that up?
My favorite asset is definitely my legs! Although I am more on the conservative spectrum, every now and then I show them out.
What are the challenges, if any, you face in being plus size?
The one and only challenge I face is not being able to find the perfect dresses or jumpsuits at time.
I have a larger bust and wide shoulders, so most of the time my dresses would fit perfectly around my bust but loosely around my waist.
It can be a bit frustrating.

What’s your favorite thing about being plus size?
My favorite thing about being plus size is being able to express my sense of style with no regards to what others think of me!
We are all beautiful and ENOUGH in our size and shape!
What’s your favorite thing about being a blogger?
My favorite thing about being an influencer is being the plug! I love when I share my findings with others, and they come back to thank me for sharing.
I guess I love the fact that I can make people’s lives a little better and brighter.
Who/what are your favorite designers/brands?
My favorite brands right now are Lane Bryant, ELOQUII, ASOS, Zara and New York & Co.
Describe your personal style.
Colorful and chic!
Which bloggers inspire you? Plus or straight size! Any bloggers currently on your radar?
My favorite bloggers are and forever will be Soraya De Carvhalo from Style is My Thing and Wendy from Wendy’s Lookbook!
What do you think about where plus size fashion is today, versus a few years back?
Plus size fashion today has come a looooong way! We’ve come from matronly to serving full runaway looks!
I am so grateful for those who have impacted the evolution of plus size fashion to get it to where it is now.

What do you think or hear from readers, is one of the biggest myths about plus size fashion?
The biggest myth I have read from readers is that they CAN’T wear something because of their size.
I live to debunk that myth every day, lol!
Are you working on anything or have anything to share? Anything else you want The Curvy Fashionista’s readers to know?
I am currently working on getting my degree in Nursing! Working in the healthcare field has always been my purpose. I am so happy that I am 5 months closer to making that dream come true. (GRADUATING IN AUGUST!)

Lastly, what does Curvy.Confident.Chic mean to you?
