Meet Hollie of Haute Glam Hollie!
Your Name: Hollie Cooper
Your Blog: hauteglamhollie.com
Age: 29
Dress Size: 16/18
Height: 5’7
Location: Houston, TX
How long have you been blogging?
2 years
What or who inspired you to become a plus size fashion blogger? What led you to it?
I’ve always been a lover of fashion and all its many layers but I was truly inspired by my followers.
I would receive so many questions about where I’d purchased something or how would I style a outfit. Then one day I decided to give this blogging thing a try, and now we’re here a few years later.
Do you blog full-time, for fun, as a hobby? Share your evolution!
In the beginning it was just a hobby, because I honestly felt no one was truly interested in what I had to say. But I was totally shocked by the amazing feedback I received!
This then became more than a hobby and more of a part- time job, which I loved because I have so much to talk about.
I’m hopefully wanting to become a full-time blogger in the near future.
What is your favorite asset? Your legs, arms, waist? How do you play that up?
I would say my waist. I’ve found throughout the years that I never truly appreciated my body the way I should. In the past, I’ve always looked at the flaws and not the assets.
But with time and meeting other fabulous individuals, I’ve learned to love my body features. For me, my waist is my favorite and I love adding belts, high waisted skirts, etc. to really show off that hourglass figure.
What are the challenges, if any, you face in being plus-size?
I’m challenged with finding consistent fashion styles within different brands of clothing as well as high end luxury lines.
For the most part, many companies have added plus size clothing to their fashion lines. But many have not mastered the idea of creating fun, sexy, trendy styles for plus size women!
I’m continually striving to advocate that as a plus size woman we want to see more inclusion for plus size clothing, in all major brands.

What’s your favorite thing about being plus-size?
As a plus size woman you are automatically a part of a sisterhood or community of women who understand the daily struggles you may encounter with being a plus size woman.
Because of that, you can never fear that you’re alone, because the support for one another and encouragement to love yourself at any size, is like no other.
What’s your favorite thing about being an influencer?
I love being able to share my thoughts on fashion, life or style with individuals of any age, race or size. Each person has something they can take away from and inspire them to try.
Who/what are your favorite designers/brands?
I have a Plethora of brands and designers but for the sake of time my top 5 in no particular order would be:
- Lane Bryant
- Asos
- Target
- Eloquii
- Christian Siriano
Describe your personal style.
I would say my style is Trendy Chic with a touch of Avant-Garde

What do you think or hear from readers, is one of the biggest myths about plus size fashion?
I think the most common surprise to me is people believe just because your plus size you can’t be stylish or set trends.
I think that’s the farthest thing from the truth! Style is what you make it.
And when given the right tools anyone of any size can create a style that will make heads turn.
I personally feel plus size woman are some of the most stylish and fashion forward woman thus far.
What do you think about here plus size fashion is today, versus a few years back?
I think plus size fashion has advanced in a major way and has made great strides in becoming mainstream, but I feel there is still work to be done.
But it will take continuous voices of plus size bloggers and influencers to keep the momentum going and moving forward in a positive way.
Are you working on anything or have anything to share? Anything else you want The Curvy Fashionista’s readers to know?
