If you’re reading this, it most likely means you are curious about how to start your plant care journey. Last week, we shared my favorite beginner-friendly house plant picks. Did you catch that? Well, let’s talk about some great ways you can source and purchase your plants while quarantined at home.

Feeding your new plant passion is so much easier than you think. Just because we are safely quarantining, does not mean that you cannot get your much needed plant fix.

Along with purchasing from online nurseries, another great way to source plants is through different Etsy shops. The ones that specialize in shipping plant cuttings and starter plants.

Another method of sourcing plants is through Facebook Marketplace. I know, right?  Don’t forget plant enthusiast groups. This is where members send cuttings and rooted plants to fellow members.

Another way that I have sourced plants and have built genuine friendships is through the creation of a group chat started by my friend Avamarie of AvaEats. Our history started when she told me that she had another amazing friend, the sweet Zariel of ZariGee Made That. Zariel loved plants and also wanted to join the group chat.

Months later, we are creating a new brand called, Plant Bae Collective.

This happened after purchasing plants from purge groups, Etsy and swapping plants with one another!

We are dedicated to collecting plants, knowledge and love to inspire and sprout baes around the world. We want to create plant connections to inspire people to learn their ancestral alignment to plants and the power they inspire within the home.

Please stay connected with us, to know when we officially launch our brand, website and social media handles!
