Honor Caribbean culture by playing mas at one of the many celebrations throughout the world. In Caribbean culture, bodies of all sizes are welcomed, so finding plus size carnival outfits or costumes won’t be an issue at all. You can see for yourself with these curvy carnival influencers.

If you’re a masquerading newbie, here’s how it works: In all the cities where carnival is observed, there’s a list of bands that walk the parade route. You choose a band and then choose your section or themed costume within that band. They typically sell packages at various levels, not just for the costume but for food, drinks, and other amenities. If you’re looking for tights to go with your carnival costume, Matched For Me is a popular brand.
